Job Summary:

The Merchandiser will optimise sales performance, product offerings, and pricing strategies across our partners’ supermarket retail outlets. Focusing on the seafood category, you will conduct market research, analyse outlet sales data, and dynamically adjust pricing to keep us competitive. You will also build strong relationships with key retail decision-makers, plan for peak festive seasons, and coordinate directly with the operations team to handle outlet requests and seamlessly introduce new products.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Conduct market research to stay informed about competitor pricing and trends
• Update retail prices for relevant products across all supermarkets
• Gather pricing information from retail outlets to inform pricing decisions
• Analyse sales data from each outlet to identify opportunities for price adjustments
• Establish and maintain relationships with key decision-makers at retail outlets
• Monitor sales performance at each outlet and share updates with the team
• Plan for peak sales periods, such as festive seasons and road closures
• Escalate outlet requests, such as add-ons or cancellations, to the operations team
• Track market trends and consumer preferences for seafood products

Required Qualifications and Attributes:

• Similar work experience in the field of F&B, FMCG and supermarkets
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret data
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with clients
• Knowledge of the seafood industry and retail landscape
• Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Has own transport and willing to travel around Singapore
