We are seeking an experienced

Senior Storage Engineer

to design, build, configure, implement, and support enterprise storage and data protection infrastructure within a highly available banking environment. The role requires strong hands-on expertise across

SAN, NAS, Object Storage, Fibre Channel fabrics, and enterprise backup technologies

, along with proven experience in large-scale storage migrations, capacity management, incident resolution, and infrastructure lifecycle management.

The successful candidate will work closely with infrastructure, application, server, network, security, and operations teams to deliver resilient and secure storage services that meet stringent availability, performance, recovery, and compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
Enterprise Storage Engineering

Lead the end-to-end design, build, configuration, deployment, and operational support of enterprise

SAN, NAS, and Object Storage

platforms.

Administer and support enterprise storage technologies including

NetApp, Dell EMC PowerMax (PMAX), Hitachi Content Platform (HCP), and StorageGRID

.

Perform storage provisioning, LUN creation, volume allocation, LUN masking, host connectivity, and storage presentation based on application and infrastructure requirements.

Manage storage capacity, performance, availability, and health across enterprise production environments.

Conduct proactive capacity planning and performance tuning to ensure infrastructure scalability and optimal service availability.

SAN & Fibre Channel Infrastructure

Administer enterprise SAN environments, including Fibre Channel connectivity, zoning, fabric configuration, and troubleshooting.

Configure and maintain

Cisco and Brocade SAN switches

and associated fabric infrastructure.

Perform zoning configuration, fabric health monitoring, port management, and connectivity troubleshooting.

Troubleshoot complex SAN connectivity and performance issues across storage arrays, switches, hosts, and application environments.

Storage Migration & Transformation

Execute complex, large-scale

data migrations across heterogeneous storage platforms

, ensuring data integrity, performance, and minimal business disruption.

Develop and execute migration plans, including pre-migration assessment, dependency analysis, migration execution, validation, and post-migration verification.

Coordinate with application, server, database, network, and infrastructure teams during critical migration activities.

Support storage technology refresh, consolidation, and infrastructure transformation initiatives.

Object Storage

Administer and support enterprise

Object Storage

environments, including Hitachi Content Platform and StorageGRID.

Manage object storage capacity, availability, performance, access, and lifecycle requirements.

Support application integration and data migration activities involving object storage platforms.

Troubleshoot object storage availability, connectivity, capacity, and performance-related issues.

Enterprise Backup & Data Protection

Implement, administer, and support enterprise backup and recovery infrastructure using technologies such as

Cohesity and Veritas NetBackup

.

Configure and maintain backup policies, schedules, retention requirements, storage targets, and recovery workflows.

Monitor backup environments to ensure successful completion of backup jobs and compliance with defined data protection requirements.

Troubleshoot backup failures and recovery issues and coordinate with application and infrastructure teams to restore critical services and data.

Support data retention, recoverability, and disaster recovery requirements across enterprise environments.

Incident, Problem & Change Management

Troubleshoot and resolve complex storage, SAN, object storage, and backup incidents within defined service-level agreements.

Perform detailed

root cause analysis (RCA)

for recurring infrastructure incidents and implement permanent corrective actions.

Participate in incident, problem, change, and service management processes within a controlled enterprise banking environment.

Execute planned storage provisioning, upgrades, maintenance, and infrastructure changes with appropriate risk assessment and change controls.

Maintain accurate technical documentation, operational procedures, configuration records, and knowledge articles.

Infrastructure Lifecycle Management

Plan and execute the secure decommissioning of legacy storage arrays, storage hardware, and backup infrastructure.

Ensure appropriate

data sanitization, secure data disposal, asset retirement, and lifecycle management

procedures are followed.

Support hardware refresh, technology upgrades, platform consolidation, and end-of-life activities.

Ensure infrastructure changes comply with organizational security, audit, risk, and operational standards.

Production & Out-of-Hours Support

Participate in

weekend and out-of-hours rotational support

for critical infrastructure activities.

Execute storage provisioning, migrations, upgrades, patching, maintenance, and other production changes during approved maintenance windows.

Provide timely technical response to critical production incidents and minimize impact to business-critical banking applications.

Work collaboratively with global infrastructure and operations teams across different time zones.

Required Technical Skills

Strong hands-on experience in

SAN, NAS, Object Storage, and enterprise backup technologies

.

Experience with

NetApp

storage platforms.

Experience with

Dell EMC PowerMax / PMAX

.

Experience with

Hitachi Content Platform (HCP)

and/or

StorageGRID

.

Strong knowledge of

Fibre Channel SAN architecture and fabric management

.

Hands-on experience with

Cisco and Brocade SAN switches

.

Strong knowledge of SAN zoning, LUN masking, host connectivity, storage provisioning, and multipathing concepts.

Experience with

Cohesity and Veritas NetBackup

or equivalent enterprise backup technologies.

Proven experience in large-scale storage migrations across heterogeneous storage platforms.

Strong troubleshooting and root-cause-analysis capabilities.

Experience with storage capacity planning, performance monitoring, health checks, and optimization.

Understanding of data protection, retention, recovery, disaster recovery, and storage security principles.

Preferred Experience

Experience supporting

large-scale enterprise or financial-services environments

Experience working within highly regulated environments with strict security, audit, risk, and change-management requirements.

Strong understanding of ITIL-based incident, problem, and change management processes.

Experience working with geographically distributed/global infrastructure teams.

Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.

Ability to work independently on complex technical issues while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
