Job Summary
Group Resilience is responsible for enabling the Bank to anticipate, withstand, respond to, recover from and learn from operational disruptions through a unified framework and capabilities spanning Operational Resilience, Business Continuity Management, Crisis Management, Operational Continuity in Resolution and Third-Party Resilience.
The Change Manager is responsible for driving awareness, understanding, engagement and adoption of Group Resilience capabilities across the Bank. The role will design and deliver enterprise-wide communications, training, stakeholder engagement and change interventions that build resilience awareness and strengthen adoption of resilience practices across businesses, functions and geographies.
Reporting to the Head of Strategy, Governance & Change, the role will act as a trusted change partner to Group Resilience leadership and programme teams, helping translate complex resilience concepts into practical, business-relevant outcomes. The role will also provide change management advisory and delivery support to strategic Group Resilience initiatives and transformation programmes as required.

- Develop and execute the Group Resilience engagement and change strategy to increase awareness, understanding and adoption of resilience capabilities across the Bank.
- Translate Group Resilience priorities, regulatory developments and strategic objectives into practical change and communication outcomes.
- Develop annual engagement, communications and capability-building roadmaps aligned to Group Resilience priorities.
- Advise programme and initiative leads on change impacts, stakeholder management and adoption strategies.
- Support the development of a strong resilience culture across the Bank.
- Design and deliver enterprise-wide communications that promote awareness and understanding of Group Resilience capabilities and priorities.
- Develop stakeholder engagement plans for senior leaders, businesses, functions, countries and support teams.
- Lead awareness campaigns, engagement events, townhalls, roadshows and targeted outreach activities.
- Create compelling content including presentations, newsletters, training materials, videos, intranet content and leadership messaging.
- Establish and maintain channels to gather stakeholder feedback and measure understanding and engagement.
- Build and maintain networks of resilience champions across businesses and functions.
- Partner with communications, HR and learning teams to amplify resilience messaging across the organisation.
- Provide change management support and advisory services to Group Resilience programmes and strategic initiatives, including impact assessments, stakeholder engagement, communications and adoption planning.
- Develop and maintain change management methodologies, templates and toolkits for use across Group Resilience initiatives.
- Conduct stakeholder and change impact assessments for key resilience programmes.
- Develop readiness, adoption and reinforcement plans for new resilience capabilities and operating model changes.
- Produce management information and reporting on stakeholder engagement, communications effectiveness, training completion and adoption metrics.
- Monitor engagement and adoption indicators and recommend corrective actions where required.
- Capture lessons learned and continuously improve change delivery practices.
- Design and deliver resilience training, awareness and capability-building programmes.
- Develop role-based learning pathways for different stakeholder groups.
- Coach programme teams and resilience SMEs on communication, stakeholder engagement and change management approaches.
- Build change capability within Group Resilience and across the wider Bank.
- Encourage collaboration, knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
- Identify and manage risks relating to engagement, awareness, adoption and stakeholder readiness.
- Escalate change and adoption risks through appropriate governance forums.
- Develop mitigation plans for stakeholder resistance, capability gaps and adoption challenges.
- Ensure resilience requirements are appropriately embedded within business processes and ways of working.
- Support assurance reviews, audits and regulatory activities through evidence of adoption and effective communications.
- Support governance and reporting activities for Group Resilience change initiatives and engagement activities.
- Prepare concise, outcome-focused updates for leadership, programme governance forums and management committees.
- Maintain oversight of communications, training and engagement activities across Group Resilience.
- Ensure change activities comply with the Bank's change governance standards and regulatory expectations.
- Maintain evidence and artefacts to support assurance, audit and regulatory reviews.
- Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group’s Values and Code of Conduct.
- Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.
- Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.
- 8+ years' experience in organisational change management, communications, stakeholder engagement or transformation delivery.
- Experience delivering change and communication activities across large and complex organisations.
- Experience working with senior stakeholders in a matrix environment.
- Experience supporting regulatory, risk, operational resilience or transformation initiatives would be advantageous.
