Full job description

On-Site Wedding & Events Lead (Part-Time / Per Event)Decor Quality Control + Full Event Coordination — Weddings & Private Events

Alangkaar is one of Singapore's leading Indian and multicultural wedding specialists. We deliver large, high-touch celebrations where every detail matters and nothing is left to chance. We're hiring experienced, take-charge individuals to be our single on-ground owner for each event — running it from the planning table all the way through to teardown, and making sure the client walks away delighted.

This is not a crew or helper role. You are the person we rely on to make the event a success.

The Role

You own the event end-to-end — and not just the decor. A wedding with us brings together many moving parts: decor, photography and videography, catering, the ceremony / officiant team, garlands, florals, the wedding car, and more. Your job is to make sure every one of these is delivered exactly as planned with our team — on time, to standard, and flawlessly.

You'll sit in the planning meeting with the client and our team, take charge on-site on the day, keep every service team and vendor aligned to the plan, and stay through teardown until everything is packed, accounted for, and the client is delighted. When something goes wrong, you fix it — calmly and decisively.

Think of yourself as the conductor of the event. You don't personally shoot the photos or cook the food — but you make sure every section comes in on time and to standard. Decor and styling is your hands-on specialty; coordinating the full event flawlessly is your mandate.

You report directly to management and sit above the day-of coordinators as the one ground commander for the event.

What You'll Do

Before the event

  • Attend the pre-event planning meetings with the client and our team. Review the decor design, understand the couple's preferences, and offer your input — on both the decor and the overall event flow / run-of-show.
  • 4–5 days before the event, pack and verify every decor item against the checklist. Spot-check the team's count so the inventory taken is 100% accurate.

On the event day

  • Ensure everything is packed, so no warehouse stop again.
  • Oversee the decor setup crew — make sure the workmanship and quality are flawless, everything is completed on time, and the look is enhanced wherever possible.
  • Make sure every service is delivered exactly as planned — decor, photography & videography, catering, the ceremony / officiant team, garlands, florals, the wedding car, and every other component. Check each against the agreed plan, confirm it's on time and to standard, and step in the moment anything slips.
  • Own the event flow: keep our team, the day-of coordinators, and all vendors aligned to the run-of-show so the program moves smoothly from start to finish.
  • Be the client's point of confidence on the ground — professional, calm, and in control.

Teardown & handover

  • Stay through to teardown. Oversee the safe, complete packing of all items and verify the count out.
  • Capture clean photos and videos of the finished setup and key moments.
  • Complete the client handover and confirm the client is fully satisfied before you sign off.

What We Expect From You

These are the standards the role is built on:

  • You are the single owner of the event on the ground — from setup through teardown. The buck stops with you.
  • Full availability for the entire event, including evenings, late nights, weekends, and public holidays. You do not leave until handover is complete and the client is satisfied.
  • You solve problems, you don't just report them. We need someone who takes ownership and gets things done under pressure.
  • Reliability and punctuality are non-negotiable. When we assign you an event, we are trusting you to deliver it.
  • You represent the Alangkaar brand in front of clients on the most important day of their lives. Professionalism and composure at all times.
  • You are accountable for the entire event delivery — decor, photo/video, catering, the ceremony team, garlands, florals, the wedding car, timing, inventory accuracy, vendor coordination, and client satisfaction. If it was planned, you make sure it happens.

If you can confidently own all of the above, this role is for you.

What You Need

Essential

  • Proven hands-on experience running or coordinating weddings / large events end-to-end — not just decor. You can own a floor.
  • A strong eye for decor, styling, and aesthetics — you know what "done right" looks like and can fix it on the spot.
  • The authority and presence to direct a setup crew and keep multiple service teams — photo/video, catering, ceremony, garlands, florals, wedding car — coordinated and on-plan throughout the day.
  • Calm, decisive, and solutions-first under pressure.
  • Detail-obsessed and highly organised — comfortable running inventory checklists and a run-of-show.
  • Genuine availability for weekends, evenings, public holidays, and late-night teardowns.
  • Physically fit — long hours on your feet, ladders, light lifting.
  • Professional and well-presented; confident communicating directly with clients.
  • Own vehicle strongly preferred — you'll travel between the meeting, the packing session, and the venue, often finishing late.
  • Comfortable shooting clean photos and videos on a smartphone.

A bonus if you have

  • Experience with Indian or multicultural weddings (mandap, multi-ceremony events, cultural setups).
  • Conversational Tamil, Hindi, Mandarin, or Malay.
  • Floristry or event lighting knowledge.
  • A qualification in events management or hospitality (experience matters more than paper).

Pay & Terms

  • SGD 350–500 per event, based on your experience and the scale of the event — confirmed at offer stage.
  • This is an all-inclusive fee covering the planning meeting, the pre-event packing/inventory session, and the full event day through to teardown and handover.
  • This is a part-time employee position, so CPF contributions apply.
  • Meals provided on event days; transport and parking reimbursed.
  • Ad-hoc / as-assigned — ideal for steady weekend income alongside other commitments.

How to Apply

WhatsApp +65 8444 4005 or email sales@alangkaar.com with:

  • A short note on your relevant wedding/event experience, and
  • A portfolio or photos of events you've worked on (if available).

We'll shortlist and reach out for a conversation.
