Full job description

We seek committed educators who are passionate about nurturing student‑athletes into engaged learners and responsible global citizens in an interconnected world. We are looking for a dedicated and reflective Economics Teacher to deliver IBDP Economics and support the holistic development of our student‑athletes in an academically rigorous, values‑driven environment.

Key Responsibilities
You will be responsible for the teaching, learning and mentoring of student‑athletes, as well as contributing to curriculum planning, pedagogy, and assessment design. This includes:
  • Delivering engaging, well‑paced Economics lessons using inquiry‑based and student‑centric approaches aligned with the IBDP framework;
  • Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages critical thinking about real‑world economic issues and global perspectives;
  • Designing and implementing varied formative and summative assessments;
  • Leveraging ICT and EdTech affordances to develop engaging resources that support blended and distance learning;
  • Monitoring student‑athletes’ progress, providing timely feedback and implementing appropriate follow‑up support;
  • Contributing to pastoral care programmes to nurture values, character, and socio‑emotional competencies;
  • Building strong rapport and trust with student‑athletes within a collaborative school culture.

Requirements and Qualifications
  • An Honours degree in Economics, or a strong undergraduate degree in Economics
  • Experience teaching pre‑university Economics and/or IBDP Economics is an advantage
  • Strong subject knowledge and a commitment to reflective teaching practice
  • Genuine interest in working with student‑athletes
  • Strong communication, collaboration and organisational skills
