Job Summary
Reporting to the Reservations Manager, the incumbent shall ensure that all reservation enquiries are handled in a prompt, efficient and courteous manner, to maximise bookings and assist in the duties of the Reservations Department.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain current knowledge of hotel room rates, promotions, and facilities to provide accurate information to guests and optimise booking opportunities
- Deliver excellent telephone etiquette and customer service aligned with Dorsett Singapore’s standards and procedures
- Process all reservation requests received via phone, email and other channels accurately and promptly to secure bookings
- Record reservations with complete and clear information following established procedures and input data accurately into the reservation system
- Maximise revenue by converting enquiries into confirmed bookings and identifying opportunities to upsell hotel services
- Ensure all function paperwork, including guest preferences, booking supplements, payment details etc, is accurate and complete
- Perform general administrative duties to support the Reservations Department’s operations
- Adhere to Health and Safety procedures, reporting any hazards or incidents to management promptly
- Participate actively in training sessions and team meetings to contribute to continuous improvement
- Collaborate effectively with Sales and Front Office teams to coordinate room bookings and optimise occupancy
- Provide coverage for the Reservations Executive during their absence to maintain department continuity
- Any other ad-hoc duties assigned from time to time
REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATION
- Diploma in Hospitality, Hotel Management, or related field
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in the hotel industry
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Knowledge of OPERA Cloud reservation system will be advantageous
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills demonstrated through effective guest and client interactions
- Ability to multi-task efficiently while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
- Work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment
