Job Summary

Reporting to the Reservations Manager, the incumbent shall ensure that all reservation enquiries are handled in a prompt, efficient and courteous manner, to maximise bookings and assist in the duties of the Reservations Department.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain current knowledge of hotel room rates, promotions, and facilities to provide accurate information to guests and optimise booking opportunities
  • Deliver excellent telephone etiquette and customer service aligned with Dorsett Singapore’s standards and procedures
  • Process all reservation requests received via phone, email and other channels accurately and promptly to secure bookings
  • Record reservations with complete and clear information following established procedures and input data accurately into the reservation system
  • Maximise revenue by converting enquiries into confirmed bookings and identifying opportunities to upsell hotel services
  • Ensure all function paperwork, including guest preferences, booking supplements, payment details etc, is accurate and complete
  • Perform general administrative duties to support the Reservations Department’s operations
  • Adhere to Health and Safety procedures, reporting any hazards or incidents to management promptly
  • Participate actively in training sessions and team meetings to contribute to continuous improvement
  • Collaborate effectively with Sales and Front Office teams to coordinate room bookings and optimise occupancy
  • Provide coverage for the Reservations Executive during their absence to maintain department continuity
  • Any other ad-hoc duties assigned from time to time

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATION

  • Diploma in Hospitality, Hotel Management, or related field
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in the hotel industry
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Knowledge of OPERA Cloud reservation system will be advantageous
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills demonstrated through effective guest and client interactions
  • Ability to multi-task efficiently while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
  • Work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment
