What the role is
The 3-Year Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) contract position with the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) presents an exceptional opportunity for individuals seeking to gain invaluable medical experience as part of the esteemed Life Saving Force. Applicants who hold a valid Class 3 Driving License, coupled with academic credentials such as ‘N’-Levels, 'O' Levels, NITEC, Higher NITEC, or Diploma qualifications, and aspire to contribute to the Lifesaving Force upon graduation, will find the 3-Year EMT position to be an attractive proposition. Upon joining the SCDF, officers can expect to secure stable full-time employment accompanied by a compelling remuneration package. They can also stand to earn between $2,940 to $4,370, inclusive of additional monthly frontline allowances.
What we are looking for
The eligibility criteria for the 3-Year EMT Contract role include:
- Possesses Class 3/3A Driving License with more than 1-year validity, as successful applicants will be required to drive an ambulance that requires either a Class 3 or 3A license
- GCE 'N' Level and above
- Applicants with NS obligations must be medically classified as PES C2 or above
- For Pre-enlistees, there will be a 5-year Minimum Term of Engagement (MTE) bond in lieu of the National Service’s obligation.

Sign On Bonus
Successful applicants will receive a $6,000 sign-on bonus (subject to eligibility), with officers also having the chance to secure full-time employment and an additional $24,000 sign-on bonus (subject to eligibility) upon emplacement as a Fire and Rescue Specialist or Paramedic Specialist.
