What the role is
The 3-Year Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) contract position with the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) presents an exceptional opportunity for individuals seeking to gain invaluable medical experience as part of the esteemed Life Saving Force. Upon joining the SCDF, officers can expect to secure stable full-time employment accompanied by a compelling remuneration package. They can also stand to earn between $2,940 to $4,370, inclusive of additional monthly frontline allowances.

What we are looking for
The eligibility criteria for the 3-Year EMT Contract role include:

• Possesses Class 3/3A Driving License with more than 1-year validity, as successful applicants will be required to drive an ambulance that requires either a Class 3 or 3A license
• GCE 'N' Level and above
• Applicants with NS obligations must be medically classified as PES C2 or above
• For Pre-enlistees, there will be a 5-year Minimum Term of Engagement (MTE) bond in lieu of the National Service’s obligation.

Sign On Bonus
Successful applicants will receive a $6,000 sign-on bonus (subject to eligibility), with officers also having the chance to secure full-time employment and an additional $24,000 sign-on bonus (subject to eligibility) upon emplacement as a Fire and Rescue Specialist or Paramedic Specialist.

What you will be working on
Officers enrolled in this course will join the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) as an Emergency Medical Technician-Driver, entrusted with the vital mission of preserving lives and property in diverse emergency scenarios while operating ambulances. Within this capacity, their duties entail swift response to medical incidents and other rescue operations, leveraging their training to deploy essential medical procedures and administer aid to individuals in distress.
