About the Role:

Beyond Boundaries Academy is seeking enthusiastic and technically capable individuals to join our team as Lead Trainer or Assistant Trainer for Drone Discovery Programme, an enrichment course designed for 10-12yo

This hands-on programme introduces students to safe drone operation, block-based coding for autonomous flight, aerial photography etc . We aim to build not only technical proficiency but also teamwork, problem-solving, and resilience.

You will be leading hands-on training sessions

Key ResponsibilitiesLead Trainer

• Deliver the full 7-session curriculum (detailed weekly plan provided) in a clear, engaging, and age-appropriate manner.
• Conduct safety briefings, demonstrations, and guided hands-on activities.
• Lead block-based coding exercises (autonomous flight paths) using provided apps.
• Manage classroom dynamics, including grouping students into roles (pilot, coder, mission coordinator).
• Prepare students for a final showcase
• Work collaboratively with the school’s Teacher-in-Charge to align schedules and goals.

Assistant Trainer

• Support the Lead Trainer during all sessions.
• Assist students individually or in small groups with drone piloting, coding, and troubleshooting.
• Help set up equipment (drones, markers, hoops, obstacle course elements).
• Reinforce safety rules and behaviour management.
• Provide feedback to Lead Trainer on student progress and challenges.

Requirements

Essential (Both Roles)

• Strong interest in drones, coding, or STEM education.
• Comfortable working with children aged 9–12 (Primary 4–6).
• Clear communication skills in English.
• Responsible, punctual, and able to commit to the full 7-session schedule (July–Oct 2026).
• Willing to follow school safeguarding and safety protocols.

Lead Trainer – Additional Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in teaching or facilitating STEM / coding / robotics programmes (e.g., CCA, enrichment, holiday camps).
• Working knowledge of block-based programming (e.g., Scratch, DroneBlocks, or similar).
• Familiarity with drone safety, basic maintenance (propellers, batteries), and manual piloting.
• Ability to troubleshoot both hardware and code issues in real time.
• Prior experience with competition training (e.g., Drone Odyssey, RoboCup Junior, or similar) is a strong advantage.

Assistant Trainer – Additional Requirements

• No prior teaching experience required, but must have willingness to learn and assist.
• Basic familiarity with drones or coding is a plus.
• Experience as a tutor, camp facilitator, or CCA helper is beneficial.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $50.00 - $55.00 per hour
